Long Beach Theatre Guild History:

Founded in 1974, Long Beach Theatre Guild is one of the original not for profit community theatre groups still going strong. We are a member of the American Association of Community Theatres.

As we being our 34th  year of continuous operation, we are proud to reflect on the fact that PLAZA SUITE will be our 95TH   full production . In addition to  35 musicals,e LBTG has presented over 60 comedies, dramas, straight plays and original works.

For a local community group, our record of presenting these 95productions is unmatched.

Speaking of “ matched”, we have seen several LBTG off- stage romances blossom over the years. Many have become lasting relationships. Additionally, many of us have bonded wonderful  friendships with each other. We present critically aclaimed live theatre which has enabled  many of our thespians to move on to careers in film, Broadway and the entertainment media.

Long Beach Theatre Guild: a community not for profit theatrical group presenting musicals, comedies, drama and workshops featuring members of the community. Productions run throughout the year. Membership $ 15 per person, $ 25 per family.

The Long Beach Theatre Guild has several programs for backstage technical talent as well as on stage performers.
